T-PLUG® S
It is a non-invasive plugging material that helps achieve ultra-low fluid invasion into the formation; composed of cellulosic materials to control and prevent lost circulation during drilling and cementing operations. Highly effective when used to drill permeable zones. Unlike conventional lost circulation materials, TPLUG® S does not adversely impact electrical stability and rheology in inverse emulsion systems based on diesel, synthetic, paraffin, and mineral oil. TPLUG® S improves plaster quality and minimizes the potential risk of pipe sticking due to differential pressure, which occurs especially during drilling in depleted zones.
TPLUG® S is available in fine, medium and coarse grade particle distribution.
APPLICATION
The TPLUG® S additive is a granular cellulosic material used as a preventative by adding it throughout the active fluid system and as a corrective by adding potholes to stop lost circulation when it occurs.
Unlike any fibrous material, the TPLUG® S product does not absorb water from the internal phase of the emulsion and its particle distribution D 90 ~ 700μm allows it to pass without obstructing or creating interference in the components of the drill string.
It is highly recommended for drilling high permeability, high porosity and depleted areas.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
For the control of lost circulation depending on its severity LOCIMAT recommends using TPLUG® S in concentrations of 30 – 85 kg/m3 combining its different grades such as Fine, Medium and Coarse and in preventative treatments a concentration of 20 – 35 kg/m3 is recommended. TPLUG® S can be added alone or in combination with other lost circulation materials.
TOXICITY AND HANDLING
Handle it as an industrial chemical, using protective equipment, and adhere to the precautions outlined in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
PACKAGING AND STORAGE
TPLUG® S comes in 11.3 kg bags. Store in a dry place, away from heat or ignition sources, and minimize dust.
