T-PLUG® TC
It is a noninvasive sealing additive that helps maintain ultra-low fluid penetration into the formation. It is composed of a premium blend of inert fibers with a broad particle distribution designed to quickly seal microfractures and highly permeable and porous formations.
The design, which contains the fibrous material when encountering a lost circulation zone, causes it to adhere to the formation and create a seal on the face and body of the fracture, controlling or minimizing fluid loss during the drilling operation.
APPLICATION
The TPLUG® TC additive in high permeability/high porosity zones is designed to be used as a preventative material in the entire circulation system with a concentration appropriate to the size of the drilling stage. It is also used in potholes of 3 to 15 m3 every 10 to 30 meters of drilling during drilling and as a lost circulation control material.
It is compatible with all mud systems and can be used in combination with other lost circulation materials.
ADVANTAGES
- Rapid bridging and sealing in permeable/porous formations or those with a high risk of lost circulation.
- It mixes and disperses easily in the mud system.
- Inert material.
- It is used with MWD and bottom end motors in concentrations up to 90 kg/m3 without affecting these tools.
RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
LOCIMAT recommends using it as a preventative material at concentrations of 15 – 20 kg/m3 and in periodic treatments to maintain the desired concentration.
Para pérdidas de circulación dependiendo del rango de la perdida las concentraciones pueden variar entre tratamientos de 25–60 kg/m3 o perdidas severas en concentraciones en el rango de 60-90 kg/m3.
TOXICITY AND HANDLING
Handle it as an industrial chemical, using protective equipment, and adhere to the precautions outlined in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
PACKAGING AND STORAGE
TPLUG® TC is packaged in 11.3 kg bags. Store in a dry place, away from heat or ignition sources, and minimize dust. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Keep the container closed. Follow safe storage practices regarding palletizing, banding, shrink-wrapping, and/or stacking.
